You are celebrating.  Your date finished grad school, his/her parents are moving away, you just saw each other naked for the first time with the lights on (and it was awesome for one of you), it doesn’t matter. Any special occasion or reason to impress will lead you to one place: Radius.  Head to one of the hot spots of Boston for that night you want to boost your dating reputation and pull out all the cards.  Located right near South Station in Boston’s downtown/financial district area, Radius is the ultimate stop for that romantic dating experience.  You landed a girl WAY out of your league and a walk around the park won’t work (we know it may be a fluke but take your momentum and go with it)?  This is your spot.  With incredible dining options and a wine list that rivals other really big wine lists (seriously it is absurd how great the wine list is)…you will be going back time and time again to try the new offerings of this elegant establishment.  Show that you can demonstrate some class; I mean you have to have some…don’t you?

Food Recommendations

Anything and I really mean anything you order from this incredible restaurant will blow you away.  Picking specific items is literally one of the hardest things I have had to do.  So I deferred to the chef for this one and the chef knows his stuff.   He recommends the following: the 4 course-tasting menu for $65 per person (one of the best values in the city and PERFECT for a date).  Look, when it comes to dining out picky eaters are pretty brutal.  If you want to have fun, and your date is adventurous this is the perfect option.  The menu items always change and the chef makes each course flow flawlessly into the next.

Lamb with a lot of love

If for some reason that doesn’t work (you may need to reevaluate your romantic situation if it doesn’t work), keep it simple and get any of the following, I am about to throw some truth your way:

-The Radius Burger-Vermont cheddar, crispy onions, horseradish sauce (what Jesus should have eaten at the last supper)
-Colorado Lamb Duo-artichoke, panise, eggplant, parsley, lamb jus
-Giannone Farm Chicken-sunchokes, carrot romesco, spaetzle, chicken jus

Remembering your date's name while eating this may be difficult...

Game, set, and match.  If you wake up alone the next day after this meal you may as well come to the realization you will be alone the rest of your life.  You want a life changing moment?  Get the burger.  You and your date won’t even have to speak because you are too busy eating (that’s a good thing for you, no more blurting out your thoughts about capital punishment).  Want to show some refinement?  Get the chicken or the lamb.  Better yet, why don’t you each get one and share, that is something romantic right?  Each bite will be better then the next.  The food is only complimented with the incredible drinks.  Speaking of which…

Holy crap this is good

Cocktail Recommendations

I don’t often do this, but in this case it needs to happen.  This is very, very simple…ask your waiter or the sommelier!!!!  I repeat ask your waiter or the sommelier.  This suggestion should be under “Date Best Practices.” With a wine list that rivals most short stories there is a simple solution to satisfy both your date anxiety and you need for liquid courage (that’s booze), just ask.  The wait staff is flawlessly trained to pair your meal with the perfect cocktail.  So don’t spoil what could be a flawless evening by asking for a French wine in Spanish.  Ask the sommelier and you will thank them later, trust me.  The perfect drink with the perfect meal; cater to your date and remember, take the drinks slow.

Ask and you shall receive, so ask about the right cocktail

Overall Impression

It isn’t often you find a flawless date spot.  From the ambiance, to the service, the food and the experience all roll into a night you won’t forget.  There is a reason why this is the perfect date spot, it actually can enhance your (dare I say it???) relationship.  Show your own sense of refinement to your date by bringing him/her to Radius instead of hoping she/he will see the subtle romance in a night in watching wrestling, splitting a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos and some Mountain Dew Code Red (he/she will not see the subtlety because it is non-existent).  A place like Radius does one thing incredibly well, it makes your date feel special.  For those of you new to dating this is a VERY, VERY good thing for you later on (it involves stuff you see in R rated movies and sometimes briefly in PG-13 movies).  This incredible dining experience is the perfect hybrid of elegance and sophistication that will have you and your date coming back to celebrate your initial celebration.  Get down to Radius and make a few incredible memories, then come back and make some more.

Oh so nice, so don't screw it up
